The laboratory of Prof. Xiaohui Xie in the School of Information and Computer Sciences and the Institute for Genomics and Bioinformatics anticipates a research position available in the areas of bioinformatics, computational biology and genomics. The position requires good overall knowledge of algorithms, statistics, probabilistic methods, and machine learning. Outstanding programming and software engineering skills are essential, especially Java, Perl, Python, and Matlab.

Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.

Salary is commensurate with training and experience. The initial appointment will be for a year, with extension to further years dependent in part on the availability of extra-mural funding.
