Research Areas

  • AI / Machine Learning / Data Mining
  • Chemoinformatics / Bioinformatics / Systems Biology

The driving interest behind my efforts is to understand natural and artificial intelligence. Examples of current project in my group include developing machine learning and other statistical approaches for AI and large-scale data mining, developing chemistry expert systems, predicting protein properties, computationally screening and designing new drugs and chemical interactions, comparing genomes, and modeling metabolic, signaling, and regulatory networks in systems biology.
